When people ask why I continue to serve on the Citrus Valley Board of Directors, and the California and National Association of REALTORS®, my answer is simple: I have a desire to keep the “American Dream Alive.” Working diligently on Affordable Housing Areas is a passion of mine, as expanding the dream of homeownership to as many Californians as possible is a mission I believe in to my core. I love our industry and I thrive on remaining involved politically, to help protect the real estate industry, and private property rights. I am a Broker/Owner of Carousel Realty for over 30 years, an advocate for my clients and my fellow Real Estate associates alike, with a true passion for giving back to an industry that has been so good to me and my family. It is an honor to serve and work alongside my fellow directors, and to help enhance the growth of the Citrus Valley Association. I am a former President of CVAR (2002), and a member of the CVAR Board of Directors (1995- 2005) (2008-2012) (2013-2019) (2020-2022). Additional accolades and achievements include: Awarded CVAR Real Estate Professional of the Year (2003) & CVAR’s REALTOR® of the Year in 2005. Regional Chair 2005, CVAR’s first Awarded Community Service Award in 2012. Served as CVAR Treasurer in both 2016 and 2017. I’m currently serving on the CVAR Community Awareness Foundation, and am the Chairperson of the Local Advocacy Committee (LAC) and the LCRC Committee. At CVAR I served as a committee member or as Vice Chair or Chairperson on: Local Government Relations, MLS, Education, Personal, By-Laws Task Force, Membership, Grievance, RAF, Housing Opportunity, Budget and Finance, Merger Task Force, & the Policy Committees.
I served in the Marines, worked in management in corporate America but found my calling 22 years ago as a REALTOR®. During the past 13 years I had the privilege of serving as a volunteer at CVAR and to my fellow REALTORS®. I've been a member or chair person on a number of committees, and as a member of your board of directors for the past two years. (I previously served on the CVAR BOD for 7 years, including president in 2014.) I have represented our association as a CAR director for the past 12 years. In addition I represent CVAR at the CRMLS budget committee and in the past on the rules and operations committees. My committee participation includes the following committees: MLS Committee, Grievance Committee, Budget & Finance Committee, Membership & Education Committee, Professional Standards Committee, LCRC Committee, and LGR Committee. Through the Committees and Board of Directors my goal has been, and continues to be, to make all of our jobs a bit easier by continually challenging the staff at CVAR and the MLS to provide improvements in the existing services and to find and offer innovative new services as well as bring relevant education to all of us . I look forward to continuing my service to my fellow REALTORS® at CVAR in the coming years. I am committed to keeping REALTORS® relevant in the eyes of our clients and promoting our value. Helen Moreno originally obtained her real estate license to originate mortgage loans in 1993 however she transitioned into practicing real estate full time since 1999. I have always utilized my customer service skills with my clients that I learned from prior career in the insurance industry. My clientele consists of Sellers, Buyers, residential & commercial leases. I have earned several real estate designations through my career such as ABR, CRS, GRI, SRES, GREEN, SFR, Probate and I am a certified Forms trainer. I have been on several committees at CVAR-Grievance, Membership Value, Pro Standards, Election Committee, Budget & Finance and I have Chaired a few of them as well. I was previously on CVAR Board of Directors and was President of CVAR in 2020. I have been a Director with The California Association of REALTORS® since 2019 Helen is married with 3 adult kids and 3 grandchildren. When time permits, I love to garden and enjoy time watching my hummingbird visitors. My favorite time in life is spending time with my family. I strongly believe in giving back to the real estate industry.
Hi I’m Brenda Gonzalez, a seasoned Realtor with two decades of experience in the industry. Alongside my career in real estate, I also serve as a Risk Manager at HomeSmart Evergreen Realty. Throughout my career in Real Estate, I've developed a strong understanding of market trends, client needs, and industry regulations. I've always felt it a challenge to embrace the changes in the real estate industry. My involvement with Citrus Valley Association of Realtors for the past 10 years include; a member of the Legislative Action Committee, and Grievance Committee, serving on Professional Standards, Budget and Finance Committee, and 20-21 Board of Director, 23-24 Board of Director. Danielle Fontes has her bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in Real Estate and a minor in Leadership studies from the University of San Diego. She applies these skills learned in college daily as she helps guide her clients with their buying, selling, and leasing needs. Danielle was also President of the local association of REALTORS® in 2019. She was awarded REALTOR® of the year by her peers in 2020 and 2023. Not only is she dedicated to doing what is best for her clients but also is very dedicated to the Real Estate industry. She is a director for the California Association of REALTORS® as well as the National Association of REALTORS® where she helps promote property rights and supports the needs for property owners to protect their investments.
